The Charter below details the GUERLAIN SA (hereinafter “GUERLAIN”) personal data policy for the https://guerlain-webapp.teachonmars.com website and the Be GUERLAIN app (hereinafter the “Charter”).
GUERLAIN respects your concerns about the privacy of the personal details and information you provide. By submitting your personal details and information, you consent to GUERLAIN using them, reviewing them and, if necessary, disclosing them for purposes strictly related to the proper functioning of the website and competitions organised via our https://guerlain-webapp.teachonmars.com website and the Be GUERLAIN app. GUERLAIN therefore encourages you to read this policy carefully. GUERLAIN may collect personal data provided when you register on our website or app as mentioned above, and when you create an account on our website or app.
GUERLAIN is the data controller under personal data regulations and in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data (hereinafter the “GDPR”).
“Personal data” refers to any information which allows you to be identified either directly (such as your last name) or indirectly (for example, using a single sign-on number).

If you do not fill in these required fields, GUERLAIN will be unable to let you register on the Be Guerlain app or create your account.

Personal data essential to GUERLAIN is marked with an asterisk on each personal data collection form. If you do not fill in these required fields, GUERLAIN will probably be unable to respond to your requests and/or provide you with the requested services. Other information is optional and enables GUERLAIN to get to know you better and improve our communications and services with regard to you.

5. Data retention
The data are kept for as long as is necessary in order to fulfil the purposes for which they have been collected and/or to satisfy our legal obligations and in any case the legal periods of time applicable.
When GUERLAIN no longer needs your personal data, they are deleted from our systems and registries or made anonymous so that you can no longer be identified.

Your data are intended for the GUERLAIN services involved in your requests. GUERLAIN ensures that only authorised persons may access your personal data when this is necessary for the purposes mentioned above.

For the technical management of the storage of your personal data, your data shall be centralised on the central servers of GUERLAIN’s service provider situated in Ireland.
You may also choose to disclose your personal data to the partners, advertisers and companies affiliated to GUERLAIN by following a link to and from their websites. Please note that such websites apply their own privacy policy.
7. Data security and privacy
GUERLAIN takes every appropriate precaution to preserve the privacy and security of the personal data processed and prevent them from being altered, damaged or destroyed or from being accessed by unauthorised third parties.
Please note: your data may be accessed, transferred or stored outside the European Union. GUERLAIN does so in a strictly secure manner and in accordance with applicable law and takes the necessary steps to ensure that third parties adhere to the commitments set out in this Policy in particular by entering into contracts adapted according to the model adopted by the European Commission.
When creating your Be Guerlain account, you must enter a personal password as this is part of our privacy policy.
However, GUERLAIN has no control over the risks connected with the functioning of the Internet and draws your attention to the existence of potential risks involved in its use and functioning.

It is important that you are able to control your personal data. Under current regulations, particularly the GDPR, you have the right to access and correct your personal data, request erasure, object to processing on legitimate grounds and obtain limitation or portability, insofar as this is applicable.

You also have the right to contact your country’s data protection authority in order to lodge a complaint against GUERLAIN’s data protection and privacy practices.
